Frank Hetzer (with mustache) operating the switches. Eugene G. Grace, partially visible (on far left), worked his way up from crane operator to become president of the company in 1916. He transformed Bethlehem Steel into the second biggest producer of steel in America. The now legendary corporation became the largest shipbuilder and literal Arsenal of America. It also dramatically reshaped America's skyline.
